My 2026 Season on the Winspace T1550

Arthur Sleightholm

This season has the potential to be one of the most exciting of my cycling career so far. As a U16 youth rider targeting the national and european scene, being supported with a new bike has made a massive difference – and I’ve been lucky enough to start the year riding the Winspace T1550 Gen 2 road bike kindly supplied by Winspace UK.

The T1550 is built as a full aero race frame with aggressive geometry and lightweight carbon construction, designed purely for speed and racing performance.

I’ve had the bike for a few weeks now and first impressions are awesome. The bike looks stunning in Chameleon White, the pearlescent paint really pops in the sun. The Hyper integrated bars are also visually striking and make you feel like you’re sitting on something really special. Finally the Lun Hyper 5 wheels with laser decals and carbon spokes, super light, super aero, and super cool.

This build is very lightweight for an aero focused bike and you really notice this as it picks up speed quickly. Last weekend I competed in my first race of the season, a two day, 4 stage closed circuit race, the Winspace felt amazing in the sprints and I really noticed the acceleration.

Alex at Winspace UK has also built the bike to a high spec, Pro stealth carbon saddle, Ultegra di2, and even the K-line chain catcher (a racing essential) finish the bike off perfectly.

The first races of the national youth circuit series are now not far away, the opening race is the 2 day 3 stage Ride Flux in Wales featuring a new course for this year. Followed by the Youth Tour of Scotland the week after and will feature some rolling hills which I'm looking forward to.

Through the summer I’m also planning to do some more road racing in Belgium. I had an amazing time last year with my team Shibden Apex RT, I love the open road racing out there and the events are so well run.

Thanks to my good results last year, I have received dispensation for the open race category allowing me race up and gain experience in the men's categories which is also exciting.

With the season ahead, my goal is to be competitive across all disciplines in the series and to keep developing as a rider. The combination of structured training, strong competition, and a high-performance bike like the T1550 gives me the best chance to achieve that!
